Our mission is to nurture the pursuit of musical excellence through accessible instruction, collaborative partnerships and performance.
The Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene serves our mission by providing an infrastructure of teachers, classes, performers and events.
In collaboration with other music schools, we share teachers, students and events to create the magic of music that inspires our participants and audiences.
By producing a program that instills the same values and accreditations that the Conservatory of Sandpoint uses, we can ensure a similar success. Spokane, and its potential conservatory, will be a resource as we grow—helping to make a “triangle of collaboration” between Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, and Spokane.
We hold classes in piano, all strings, some winds, and youth choir.
Students can begin as early as preschool, leading into early childhood exploration with private lessons, and evolving into ensemble experiences with middle and high school students helping to develop participants’ talents and abilities. College students may help teach and inspire the classes, along with teachers from both conservatories and the college.
The Conservatory hosts professional and exemplary performing artists and master classes with visiting artists that can bring teachers from outreaching areas.
Local public schools can recommend budding artists for instruction.
The Conservatory enriches our vibrant local community with the outreach and invitation of those performing and producing, as well as those observing and serving.
The goal for the future is to bring a performing arts center to Coeur d’Alene that will serve inland North Idaho.
